Kate is a certified aging-in-place specialist (CAPS) and understands the unique needs of the older adult population and adaptations needed to remain independent.

Aging-in-Place Continues to Grow in Popularity

Occupational therapists are skilled at performing home assessments that identify a person’s daily routines and activities and the barriers that impact performing them. An occupational therapist then works with the individual, the family and others to identify solutions for achieving the desired goals.

  • Home safety assessments
    (usually covered by Medicare with MD prescription)
  • Fall prevention
  • Senior fitness
  • Balance training
  • Pelvic floor training for incontinence
  • Community re-entry
  • Caregiver training
