Occupational Therapy
What is occupational therapy?
We define “occupation” as activities you perform in your daily life.
You may need occupational therapy to train you with:
- basic level activities such as dressing, self care or conditioning
You may also be at a level where you need therapy for
- higher level activities such as returning to specific sports (tennis, golf, fishing),work activities, driving or community re-entry.
Common Diagnoses:
- Orthopedic injuries (shoulder, hand, hip, knee)
- Neck and low back pain
- Parkinson’s Disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke
- Fibromyalgia
- Incontinence
Your daily activities can be simulated in a sterile, gym environment or we can actually perform the activities in the REAL WORLD with the realities and challenges you will face each day.

Parkinson’s Treatment
PWR!Moves is a Parkinson’s Disease-specific training program to maintain or restore skills that deteriorate and interfere with everyday movements of P.D. patients. Dr. Farley created the program as a progression of her original LSVT exercise program.
I am a certified PWR! therapist and truly believe in these movement modalities for treatment and management of Parkinson’s Disease. I incorporate much of this work into my treatment sessions along with a complete plan of care. My goal is to empower P.D. clients to move and know that movement is medicine.
